Bio
Claire wants to create contemporary pieces with vibrant colours. Her mantra is “ no grey here!”
Claire paints primarily in acrylic on canvas creating scenes inspired by countryside walks around The Ashdown Forest, East Sussex. Claire loves to include Silver Birch Trees as they evoke fond childhood memories for her.
Her Google Profile picture is “Keep Calm and Feed a Chicken” so clearly the occasional bird will feature in her work. In between painting she has enjoyed hatching chicks and caring for her brood as well as teaching art after school.
Claire also works with ink and has created a series of Bird Paintings which are available as Limited Edition Prints.
Claire recognises the importance, as an artist, of life drawing and the study of the human form. Claire works with references from #figurecollaboration which you can see on Instagram:
